Verena Holzgethan and Paul Neuninger are fascinated by the movement of plants in space and time. To observe, understand, and become part of these journeys is the starting point of the VERBASCUM PROJECT. The artists occupied a location on the premises during the TRANSPORT>festival in June 2011 and invited the visitors to become spatial dispersal vectors for the plant species mullein, with seeds from their archive. Just one plant can start a new population, which may first appear only in the distant future, as the beneficiary of a disturbance. Thoughts, images, stories about these plants, their locations and their agents will be sent back to the artists, who will work with this information as part of the DO TANK.
