Helene Hegemann (b. 1992) moved from Bochum to Berlin in 2005. In 2007 her theater piece ARIEL 15 premiered in Ballhaus Ost, and one year later Deutschlandradio adapted it into a radio play. In 2008 she directed her screenplay TORPEDO; the film was shown in cinemas all over Germany in the summer of 2009 and won the Max Ophüls Award. In 2010 her first novel, AXOLOTL ROADKILL, was published by Ullsteinverlag, and in the meantime the book has been translated into 15 languages. She lives and works in Berlin.

Kathrin Krottenthaler was a permanent member of Christoph Schlingensief's team from 2002 - 2010. The productions were at, among others, Burgtheater in Vienna; Volksbühne at Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz in Berlin; Deutsche Oper Berlin; Teatro Amazonas in Manaus, Brazil; Reykjavik Arts Festival in Iceland; Haus der Kunst in Munich; and Filmgalerie 451. Since 2005 she has done video works for René Pollesch at, among others, Münchner Kammerspiele; Staatstheater Stuttgart; and Burgtheater in Vienna. She has collaborated with Helene Hegemann; Herbert Fritsch; the English-German performance group Gob Squad; Schorsch Kamerun; and Chicks on Speed. She was the camerawoman on TORPEDO, a feature film by Helene Hegemann (Credofilm, 2008). TORPEDO received the Max Ophüls Prize at the film festival of the same name in Saarbrücken in 2009, and it was nominated for the Art Directors' national award at the International Women's Film Festival in Dortmund / Cologne in 2009. She was the camerawoman and editor on POSITIONEN ("Positions"), a music video of the Goldene Zitronen. POSITIONEN was nominated at the Oberhausen Short Film Festival for the Music Video Award in 2010 and was named Video of the Month by the magazine SPEX in the December 2009 issue.

René Pollesch (b. 1962) studied applied theater studies in Gießen, Germany. From 2001 to 2007 he was the artistic director at Prater, Volksbühne Berlin. Productions developed here included the trilogy STADT ALS BEUTE; INSOURCING DES ZUHAUSE; MENSCHEN IN SCHEISSHOTELS; and SEX, which was invited to Theatertreffen 2002. That same year he was named "Best German Playwright". In 2001 and in 2006 Pollesch received the Playwright Award from the city of Mülheim.
