Since 1999 Bruno Vanden Broecke is an independent actor who worked with Bronstig Veulen, Dito’Dito’, de Tijd, Publiekstheater, Toneelhuis. In 2000 he was the co-founder of SKaGeN (DE DAYROOOM, LIFT-OFF, DOOR MIJN SCHULD, LA MERDE, WINTERKANT, etc…) and collaborated regularly with the Company DeKoe (VAN ALLES NAAR ALLEN, POESPOESPOES, SQUIRRELS, DE WET VAN ENGEL, MILLERNIN, UTOPIE VAN HET ATOOM, etc…). He worked in a numerous plays together with Raven Ruëll (JAN, MIJN VRIEND, HET LEVEN EN DE WERKEN VAN LEOPOLD II, ROBERTO ZUCCO, PAKMAN…) in addition with the Royal Flemish Theatre KVS (SCHITZ, IN DE EENZAAMHEID VAN DE KATOENVELDEN,...). Vanden Broecke was also engaged in a numerous cinema and tv-productions like KATARAKT, SPIKE, ANY WAY THE WINDS BLOWS, EEN ANDER ZIJN GELUK, FIRMIN, DE KONING VAN DE WERELD, VANEIGENS ET HET EILAND, DE RONDE and WAT ALS?
Philippe Quesne (*1970) lives and works in Paris. He studied visual arts and graphic design at L´École Estienne and set design at L´École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris. During ten years, he designed for theatre, operas and contemporary art exhibitions.
In 2003, he created Vivarium Studio, a laboratory for theatrical innovation featuring painters, actors, dancers, musicians and a dog. He conceived LA DÉMANGEAISON DES AILES (THE ITCHING OF THE WINGS, 2003), DES EXPÉRIENCES (evolving project set in such diverse spaces as an art gallery, a forest, a pond, and a wasteland from 2004 to 2006).D`APRÈS NATURE (2006), L`EFFET DE SERGE (2007), LA MÉLANCOLIE DES DRAGONS (2008), BIB BANG (2010).
He also developed visual performances in public spaces: POUR EN FINIR AVEC LES SIMULATEURS (2004), ÉCHANTILLOS (2006), POINT DE VUE (2007), GROUPUSCULE (2007).
He edited three booklets: ACTIONS EN MILIEU NATUREL (2005), PETITES RÉFLEXIONS SUR LA PRESENCE DE LA NATURE EN MILIEU URBAIN (2006), THINKING ABOUT THE END OF THE WORLD IN COSTUME BY THE SEA(2009).
His projects tour internationally and were notably presented in Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, Austria, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Estonia, Ireland, Argentina, Brazil, USA, South Korea…
